Inverter - remote control

Am looking to replace our existing 1500w inverter with one that I can  turn off from inside van (inverter is in front boot of van) - am looking at one of these , disregard their spelling            http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1500W-3000W-Pure-Sinve-Wave-12V-240V-Power-Inverter-Camping-Boat-Caravan-Remote-/361954801948?epid=760324291&hash=item54462ff91c:g:dRUAAOSw03lY8cHI     any thoughts ?

I have the 2000w one with remote and it is under the bed.  Only issue was the battery cables it came with were too short.

Why not run cables into van with switches inside.

That's what I do for 300w and 1000w a lot cheaper

Hi, Yes that is the way to go. Put the Inverter as close to the batteries as possible which will have less voltage drop.

We use a 2000watt Projecta pure sine wave with a remote in the van. http://www.projecta.com.au/Products/Inverters/Intelli-Wave.aspx

Not cheap but we run medical equipment. If we had to replace it we would use a smaller unit as it was an overkill for our usage.

Cheers John K

I have my inverter in the boot next to the battery and have have wired a 240v power point in the van (next to the TV) this has a power board with switches connected to it and a switch that turns the inverter on and off.

I stay in the van, turn the inverter on, plug into the power board GPO and turn on the power board switch and off you go.

Been working for about 15 years,

Good luck
