ZERO. ZERO. and ZERO.

NADA
ZILCH.
NOPE.

There's a word called "control"

You ain't got much of that if you lose it with Autopilot on in the wet believe me.

Please don't. or we'll scrape you off the side of some building.

I only ever use it in Traffic control. Built up areas.

Apart from that. "I" Vary my throttle and speed to suit whatever.

Much more economical.

I'm with Macka on this one. Even the companies who are supposed to build the safest cars on the road advise against Cruise control in the wet.

You could go on and on about Aquaplaning and  Stability control and all the other driver's  aides these days but the bottom line is they are not safe in the wet.

Foot attached to a brain is the best in the wet.

Maybe it's just me but I don't like using cruise control while towing the van it feels hard on the gearbox ...

I use it when going for a pee . Gahahaha Was a good movie . Lol no don't use it !! Tends to hold higher gears . When towing it's not the best option ! In wet there's no engine braking till you brake or hit the C.C lever . Besides you should in total control when towing in the wet !!!

IMHO cruise control can be a scary device, in fact is it very crude technology. As others have said, better that you're the one in control. Most vehicle manufacturers also specifically state it shouldn't be used for towing as the changed dynamics of load require a different gearing habit to protect the trans. Personally I'd never use CC when towing, and/or in the wet, and/or in the dark.

Never have and never will when towing in the wet or dry, I am a firm believer in having full control over my rig all the time.
