It's usually in the way it's mounted .. Or the pipes off it are vibrating against body etc ? Should be mounted on strong ply that prevents harmonics . Or rubber mounts between pump and mounting .
G'day Manta Ray and welcome to the forum. Don't forget to try the two ongoing games here - 'Who is This' in the 'I Digress' section and 'Pick this Place' in the 'General' Section - a great source to find new places to visit. Reckon Aus-Kiwi covered the main points re pump noise.
Welcome to the gang Manta Ray, enjoy here and out in the playground.
Caravans often have various noises in them so I tend to just put up with them. My pump is not over noisy so not too bad there. I have a continuos Flow hot water service that IS noisy though but getting rid of it soon for a Suburban HHS.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there

The water pump in our van is noisy, I have looked at the installation and it seems OK, while I have yet to investigate fully, it could be just the design of the pump. may I suggest you put the question up again in the technical section.
Yes may be fitted ok . If it's atttached to floor or structure that can vibrate the harmonics of pump are exaggerated like a big sound shell .. Often fitting a 7 ply sikoflexed to floor another rubber strip between pump and 7 ply with screws holding pump . It MAY need an acumuator if pump is turning on and off too often ?? With out one it could be hammering your pipes ? Much the same at home when when tap is turned off quick ., Saddle pipes .
