Look closely, and perhaps shine some light at various angles on the screen. Is there any sign of an image? If it's just the screen backlighting you might find it's an easy fix. Unfortunately repair costs can easily exceed the value of the item. Replacement options are boundless in the stores, and there's occasionally great items cheap on Gumtree... but more often dreamers expecting way too much money. Cheers, Steve
