We were up early again as our journey is a long one (Fantastic noodles and a cupper for Breakie), especially not having the van with us.
I love driving across the Nullarbor ( Lambie not, with out the van.) we stop often for a cupper and extra's( pit stop).
We stayed at Ecula on the forward trip, and for what we paid for accommodation, never again. The room Stank. And we can take a fair bit. so on hitting Eucla, we looked at one another with a smile Keep going and we did. another two hours and we were at Nullarbor Road house.
We can put you in the West Wing and its real quite. Yep we'll take it. We slepted well and a good bed TV and cooking (soup).
The whole rig running like a dream we sailed for Wudinna for our next stop in time to reach The Bakery. (Yummy).
We hold up in Wudinna pub for the night ( Good food too.)
We need fuel for the first time since filling in total in KG. Ceduna BP Diesel $1.29 Wudinna $1.25 at the Caltex. Must be cheaper in Kimba $1.31.
So when in Kimba, do as I did and dropped 30lts in. As Port August would and was $1.189 with our woollies dockets. From here we can take on only what we needed for each leg to Mildura. Where The Caltex at the northern end of town $1.21
Remark hotel on the river was to be our next stop. We are FULL. What your never full. Just tonight we are came the reply. Bugger!!! So we holed up around the corner and got a better deal.
We were going to stay over in Hay NSW and again we wanted to keep going, so Narrandera would be our last night, before home on Saturday 2pm.
Nine days door to door 5400km.
We used to find the trip easy when younger.
Would we do it again??? NO. Not without our van.
We are Grey Nomads for good.(Part Time that is.)

Having your own house with you certainly makes a difference doesn't it Jim Dave
To right Dave,
We are still not over sleeping in the tent. We both picked up this cough. Its like Hooping Cough. Doctor says it might be Asthma and to get a ventalin spray.
The cough is taking its toll on both of us. The dust gets into everything.
So we have put back all things taken out of the van, and is good to go.
We both have a few commitments till November. Then we are free again.
We will do 2 x one week trips up till then. I love my camp oven cooking.
We missed the van so much, it has spoiled us both.
PS: The tent is For Sale if anyone wants it. Cheap.Send me a PM.
Yep, know just what you mean. We really want to go east to fish the freshwater but are concerned about the fact that it has to be with our boat, not the van. Ah well, looks like it might pay us to have an emergency tent along. Drat!!
