Atherton Tableland Van Parks

We are considering revisiting the Tableland again, particularly to check out the WW2 historical areas.

Can anyone recommend a good caravan park in the area?

I think it is Walkerman - but have heard really good reports about this park.

Thanks jules47, but tried "Walkerman" in Google Maps without success. Can you elaborate?

If going there I would strongly suggest you book ahead as it is a very busy park, particularly when all the southerners invade Qld

We always stay at the Atherton Big4 - it's not cheap but has good birds & is not far from Hasties Swamp - all great needs for bird watchers.

Have a look too, at the Afghanistan memorial at Yungaburra.
