First time land traveller with van

Good morning, and HI to all,

Thanks for accepting me to the forum.

We have ordered a new Avan Cruiser, but because of back orders cant get it till March unfortunately..... As I am an ex sailor and done all My travelling at sea, and am now retired from that life, am now going to get about and see this great country.

As Im 67 and have no experience towing anything big have decided on the Avan.

Am going to enjoy picking up lots of info in this forum so maybe by the time we hit the road may not be such a novice.

Ray

Thanks Doug,
Am really looking forward to it.
Have thought about it for some time, so decided to stop procrastinating and get going and buy one.
Got sick of moteling it and finding no vacancy signs everywhere at the end of the day when we decided we want to stop.

G'day Ray and welcome to the forum.  Don't forget to try the two ongoing games here - 'Who is This' in the 'I Digress' section and 'Pick this Place' in the 'General' Section - a great source to find new places to visit.

Thank you for the welcome Cadpete and aussietraveller.
Will definatly check our all the sections.
WOW there is a lot of information in this forum that is for sure.
Will be spending many many hours on here looking up lots of info.
I did hire a Mercedes Benz Motorhome for 2 weeks early this year and got to meet many people in free camps and caravan parks and got to love what they were telling me.
