Looked at one today. Like the battery as it has a good range compared with mine. No chain guard

Brother has a folding electric bike, (not sure of brand), with 20 inch wheels
Got it from the bike shed in Fremantle Western Australia

I have a non-folding electric bike with 26 inch wheels, brand is Beyond Oil

Brother says that (without battery power), the 20 inch wheel bike, is harder to pedal than the 26 inch wheel bike

As both bikes are second hand, we have no idea of the previous use/abuse

Been looking at folding e-bikes for a few months. My shortlist is now www.leitner.com.au/leitner-electric-bike-folding-250w-straight-bar.html www.velectrix.com.au/bike/velectrix-foldaway-e-bike

Preference is for a rear hub motor, hub gears, 26" wheels, puncture proof tyres and about 20kg. However as no such beast exists, my final purchase will be a compromise but the hub gears appear to my highest priority.

I have owned one of theese bikes for 4 years and other than replacing tyres chain and brake pads no problems i ride 15 ks to work each day. The battery is still giving about 75 % capacity .

Cheers
