Hi everyone,

I have just joined the forum - looking forward to being a part of it.

I have also just finalised my rig - only problem is it is too shiny. I need to get it out on the road (and off the road), get some real dirt and dust on it...

Thanks for the welcome.

The car has had a Lovells GVM upgrade to 3800kg - tows van very well - had it out in high winds/with road trains etc.

In saying that, once I get my base "stuff" in the van, I intend to take it over a weigh bridge.

I am not little (6ft/8), so removing even a pair of my shoes can make a huge difference :)

Hi,

Plan for outboard is:

- when hitched to van/not using: back of caravan in wood storage "basket" (covered internally with outdoor carpet) - lockable, secure, well supported and protected structurally underneath

- when off in car: the guy who did the boat loader and dinghy outfitting made a tow ball insert to attach outboard to car - to take to and from water etc. lockable, secure, well supported structurally, can still open LHS door at back of car

....hopefully all goes to plan :)
