Joe O'Connor Park is a large area on the banks of the Yass River.
A free campsite in Yass
Walking distance to shopping
Self-contained vehicles only
48 hour limit
GPS: -34.83625 , 148.90619
18 Laidlaw Street, Yass NSW
The area is large, but there are not a lot of level sites. There are no facilities in the park itself but it is a short walk to the weir which has a walkway across the river to public toilets and rubbish bins. It is then only another 100m to the start of the main shopping area.
The sign at the front gate says no dogs.
Cheers - John

Long Track Pantry: checked it out. Very Busy. $20 for 2 cakes and 2 coffees. They were OK. IMHO. GOOD THING: Nobody seemed to mind our 2 dogs outside under the table.
