Friend of mine is doing a camping trip for 14 days with a van and needs to sleep with a Philips Cpac machine. He will be staying mostly in places without power and will be driving most days.
Any idea what the power requirements are for a cpac machine. Would a second battery recharged each day by the car be ok or should he have solar was well.

With my Philips cpap machine I have the 12v DC lead from Philips. Philips with one L.
In terms of powerdrain, we had my cpap on our around oz trip. Its a 12v unit. We had 100amp deep battery, 120w roof panel and 90w portable. Them days no charging from the car. Small chest fridge cf18.
We found the cpap when running uses same power (without humidifier ) as the fridge and we ran our battery down sometimes on cloudy days.
It would have been handy to be able to run the car at free camps to give the battery a boost.
...just to give you an idea.
