Hi All, Has anyone used or purchased a Maxi Pro Mini Mover Gen 2, They are a 12V 550w unit from a company in Queensland NVYC500G Specifications Motor DC 12V : 550W Gear Ratio 494:1 Max Speed 7m/min Max Incline 7 Degrees Braking action Automatic Max Vehicle Load 2722kg Max Jockey Wheel Load 498kg Jockey Wheel Diameter 20cm Battery Lead Length 1.6m Net Weight 17kg. It would be good to get some feedback on these, the price is right at $289.00 plus courier to Perth $42.00. I have been doing a lot of searching for these and they are advertised on EBay for over $400.00, so the dealer price is very good. Thanks in advance Bob.
I don't have that brand, but mine is almost identical and cost $288. It is a 350 watt motor and I use it to move my 1300kg Penguin which it does easily.
As long as it's used on a solid surface with no more than a few degrees incline they are great. On softish surfaces they will just spin the wheel, similarly slopes of more than a few degrees the tyre will just spin. They also will not climb steps greater in height than around 10mm. I have a 30 mm step to negotiate so I made a three step step, each step is 10mm and so I can now climb that 30mm.
The handle on mine gave a full 90 degree turn to the left but only about a 45 degree turn to the right so I made another handle and now get a full 180 degrees movement. For the money they are great.
The distributor of a remote controlled version of these wheels is a forum member and will no doubt ad his two bobs worth. Just remember though, these $288 jockey wheels are not toys, they do work and work well in the right environment. The remote controlled version has a place if that fits the bill better, but there is a price to pay for the remote.

I've got that spec jockey wheel mover.
It moves my van no problems ATM of 2750. Also move it up my drive which is 3 degree incline. ( I think)
I have it powered via Anderson plug to the house batteries.
