If the problem is only on gas check :
[a] flame size & colour, the outer edge of the flame should just touch the bottom of the vent tube ,the color should be mainly blue with possibly just a little yellow/orange @ the tip
If the above do not fix the issue, I suggest that the hoses linking the gas bottles to the regulator be replaced, I understand the flexible ones have a life of 5 or 6 years according to the tag on the hoses, they also may be filled up with gunk.
If the jet gets partly clogged again, the gas lines ex the regulator to the frig may need to cleaned using compressed air by your repairer.
Our Dometic 3 way fridge doesn't cope with hot weather while running on gas either. It's a common problem.
We've spent many hundreds of dollars on three occasions ''getting it serviced & fixed'' with little or no improvement. Almost enough to buy a new fridge.
We buy a bag of ice & divide it into four bags & then spread them flat over the shelves. It lasts nearly a week & helps to keep the temperature down to the correct level.

Just had problems with our fridge on gas,the freezer worked but only got down to minus 5 degrees and the fridge compartment was about 8-10 degrees .Turned out to be the burner and the gas line a bit clogged.
As has been mentioned the flexible gas hoses do break down over time, replaced mine with one that has a flexible stainless inner core.
I like the Flexible SS Hoses, I realise that the copper tube connections do not have the same breakdown issues, but to me the are most suitable on houses with 2 large Gas cylinders, I have found that with the change over of 9Kg bottles over time the copper kinks and then I wonder how long will it be B4 the tube fractures.
In some instances the regulators come with 2 copper tunes and their associated connections, which in my case are sent to the recycler.
Hi PeterInSa,
I too have found the copper pipes become hard in use. I'm certain if you do a search, you'll find a Techie issue (not so long ago) on re-annealing the pipes to give them the more flexible feel again.
I was advised just after I bought my Eagle to get rid of the flexible rubber hoses - went straight to copper. However the SS ones look interesting!
David, if you take the fridge out - don't die of shock as to what holds it in!
But do the gas checks first as advised above!! It is just about impossible to check the jet - the hole is so fine, you cannot see it - do not try to poke it if it is blocked. If you have a nice pale blue flame, it's not blocked.
One thing I've found beneficial is the fitting of a shade over the fridge vents - even shade cloth held in sail track & 5mm dowel & pegged to the ground out from the side of the van.

If you don't get it done today, there's always tomorrow!
Fridge/Feezer during 33deg day cooling to +19 & -2degC.
Fix ..from Jaycar, 2 Computer fans 12v 80mm installed on aluminium panel and mounted on top of heat exchanger with 50degC thermostat located halfway along HE.
Now Jan 2018 over a very hot 42deg day in Adelaide, Fridge at +6 deg & Freezer -14degand had to turn control back over night as too cold. Best of luck .
We had the same problem with our 3 way Dometic fridge - gas was going to stove, but not to fridge - Johnson's caravans and repairs in Maryborough, Vic., had a good look - and found the problem - there was a dead mouse stuck in there, which was affecting the gas flow. The mouse has been there for probably two years, after we had an amazing 143 mice caught in our van, after picking up a couple of pregnant mice, camped near a stable.
