Confused

I'm confused & wondering if I'm doing something wrong when replying to a post. You see a post you'd like to reply to & select the reply button then type in your message.  When you select the post button your message doesn't come up below the one you're replying to but at the top or bottom so there seems to be no indication of what you're actually replying to. If you're replying to someone else's post I would expect it should come up immediately below the one you're replying to.

The posts will appear in order of someone pressing the submit button.
If you want to reply to or make reference to another members post then just select the "quote" button in the right hand corner of the members post window and it will open the reply in the advanced editor mode and if you type you reply separate to the quote of their post then their post and your response will appear as such.

Hi Dianne, just a quick comment, make comments or ask questions in one of the many different sections of the form. This is the 'introduction' section. One you introduce yourself you move onto the other ones. Enjoy the forum.

OK, new here but been on fora for what seems like ever!
J - for John
A - for my surname
2340 - for my postcode.

Yeah, I know, it's really imaginative, but them's the breaks!

Ex-teacher of Industrial Arts and Info Tech, author of a couple of IT texts, ex IT consultant, ex Apprenticeship/Traineeship functionary.
Currently part time education worker (as General Assistant) and current olive grower/processor/sales.

Tower - Nissan Navara D22 with Michell tray
Towee - Goldstream Storm RL Vacationer

Neither of them get anywhere as much use as I'd like - work and olives take up too much time! (Should be a law against work!)

Hope that I am not too late to also say, welcome to the forum, dundreaming

If you wish to ensure that everyone knows that you are replying to a particular post, then click on QUOTE, and not REPLY

When the window opens you will see the post you are replying to and a line underneath

Make sure you click under the line, and start typing, and it will come out just like this

I hope this information is useful to you

It took me a while to figure out what everything was, when I first came on the forum
