Low voltage cutout


l have to replace low voltage cut unit, which is an electro 40amp model,my question is my in house battery charger is a Projecta 50amp model .Do I need to get larger lvc unit to cover the larger charger amperage.

the lvd in on the load side , yes ?

it is there to cut off items drawing on your battery below a certain point and your charger should not be routed through it anyway.

Thus any charging current from your projecta should not be passing through it and will not matter.

This should be easy enough to determine by looking at your set up.

If you're looking at the projecta brand, a quick look only shows 30 and 50amp . As they 50 is only a hundred bucks and the 30 it too small, your decision might already be made :)

Thanks for your reply den monkey,l am still trolling the net but I don't know whether to stick with the Electro because it would be easy to wire in same colour wires .But I am leaning towards the Projecta because I am impressed with the charger I will have a think in the next few days. Thanks again
