Thanks for that Joe, this one's a lot easier to read than the convoluted one I had.

Cheers

Hi
wire size chart is absolutely no good if used for high currents with out volt drop chart /calculator.

www.voltagedropcalculator.com.au/

voltdrops allowable
most 3-5 %
solar 0-3 %

Using below 3mmauto is fine wires and can break from vibration
auto sizes are bad to use anyways
3mm auto = 1 mmsq
4mm auto = 2mmsq use this as minimum

This is a printable PDF that I use as a voltage drop and size gauge when needed. At the bottom is a conversion chart from AWG to Metric.

If you print the page as A4 without re-sizing it, then the conversion chart at the bottom should be reasonably accurate. Note the black dots represent the wire thickness witout the insulation.

Thanks Mad Steve,
If you change orientation to Landscape and increase size to 90% it makes a very readable document, buggers your dot size a bit though, so will laminate both together I think and mark the right size dots 1st. Thanks for that, cheers Craig
