This is an expensive one - cheaper are available but *ensure* whatever you buy conforms to EN50291.

We cannot smell or taste carbon monoxide - you'll just feel drowsy, drift off to sleep and never wake up! Spend a few dollars on an alarm.

Mike, I agree with your point that it should be reposted in the "General" page.

Also thanks for the link for the CO detectors - our daughter has bought a house that has gas heating. Pat had friends who were visiting family in the USA a number of years ago. Only one survived the faulty basement heater!
