I don't know anything about your model van, however we have a Jayco, and the table was loose, went back on warranty, and now is still loose. I can tell you that our table top is a sandwich of laminex, then plywood for each side, and the middle is just polystyrene foam. With ours we have a piano hinge at the end and it is attached by a series of screws, screwed straight into the foam. The screws just pull straight out.
Does this sound like the problem you have ?
The way I have addressed the problem, is by removing the laninex edging strip, then digging out the foam to a depth of about 30mm (the depth of a wood insert), then going to the green shed and getting a strip of wood about 12mm thick,and a sheet of thin balsa to take up any clearance (shim). I glue that into the cavity, then the end laminex backing strip is glued back in place. Now you have something that the screws can grip to.
Just do as one would with any loose wood screw - remove screw, glue in appropriate sized bit of wood (check what wall is made of and use appropriate glue), let dry, put screw back.

I previously had an Eagle Camper (Jayco). Most fittings screwed into the aluminium frame & I was able to fix by using the next sized (diameter) screw but in one instance I had to utilise Moose2's fix.
I shudder to think how I would do similar work on my Discovery (suspect no frames). Also bear in mind that Jayco isn't the only manufacturer to make caravans from "cheaper fittings".

I was watching a you tube clip on repairing screw holes that are now too big. They put wood glue on the end of matchsticks and kept pushing them in the screw hole until it was packed tight. Allow to dry for a few days. Then use a sharp chisel to chip the matches level with the wall then put your screw back in. I tried it and it worked a treat
I used a renovating tool to cut the matches back to wall level as i didnt have a chisel
You don't even have to wait until the glue dries if you are short of time. Have used this method for years.
Cut the match or toothpick to length. Insert glue into hole followed by match. Fit screw and tighten.
The only time I have had to wait for the glue to dry is when there is nothing behind the ply panel and the match can fall through.
