reverse cycle should be cheaper, about $6 t0 $800 plus instal cheers blaze
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries....NOT Mitsubishi Electrical. I got a 2.5kw reverse cycle from Good Guys for $700. Uses very little of my battery power, sits on the drawbar, and is not heard from inside van.Brilliant on cold or heat.....one of the best things I bought, along with the Truma diesel heater for the shower, and air in the unlikely event that we were to run out of battery power. The reverse cycle system is our primary choice, minimising diesel usage, but it always is good to have options!
Tell us a little more about the Mitsubishi AC if you will please?
Is this a domestic unit which you have adapted for caravan use, and if so how? I assume it's 240V so do you run it via an inverter? What its power consumption?
The Truma space/water diesel heaters look interesting:

Assume go with brands that make roof top ? I would check output to load . No point fitting one you can not run off generator or existing wiring is too small . If you want to replace with roof top ?
