Wildflower Heaven in WA

We have just been to the Western Flora Caravan Park, just north of Eneabba townsite.  It is a nature based park with very friendly owners, good facilities and a little shop and fuel bowsers.  Set on 160 acres of mostly bush it sits beside a wildflower nature reserve.  Even in November the wildflower display was impressive and amazing.  In season it would be absolutely mind blowing.  You can do a 5.3 km return walk down to a river and back.  Really pleasant. I highly recommend a stay at this park.  It is only about thirty minutes easy drive from there over to the Indian Ocean Drive and the beautiful turquoise coast.  We based ourselves there and toured around going down to Leeman and Green Head and up to Dongara, and checked out beach campsites on the way around.  These are all great places.  Oh yes, there are Kangaroos hopping around everywhere at the park and Bob Tail goannas come in to your annex to visit.  Dogs allowed.  And .... for anyone looking for a new life, the park is for sale for a reasonable price.  We were very tempted to up stakes, but we do have health problems so it probably is not for us.  But we are most definitely going back next wildflower season.
