Air conditioner in Jayco motorhome

I wonder if anyone can help us. The rooftop air conditioner in our 2014 Jayco Conquest doesn't fire up anymore. We have owned this vehicle for just over 12 months, and it worked OK for the first 6 months or so, but now not a whisper, either using the remote control (batteries OK) or the buttons on the unit itself.

It doesn't bother us in one respect, as we keep away from any high temperatures wherever possible, and free camp or low-cost camp 95% of the time so don't have 240 volts, but I like to run it periodically at home just to keep it in good order for when we (eventually) decide to sell it - not for many years hopefully.

Can anyone tell me where the power supply to the aircon is located? All 240-volt circuits are functioning OK (barring the air-con), but I can't see where the feed to the unit is coming from, or if there is a fuse somewhere.

Cheers

Bosky

My MH has a Dometic Air Con. When it was installed they picked up a power source in the roof so I have no idea where the feed comes from.

I did lose the aircon and found out the circuit board was U/S. A Dometic service  agent in Bundaberg unclipped the old one and used a test board to see if it was the Circuit board. It was, and for such a tiny board it was over two hundred dollars.

I kept the old board and got the new one. Easy to do just an unplug the old one unscrew two screws and swap out the board. No problems three years down the track. I did find that the cause of the problem was a tiny push on push off switch on the board itself.

Got a TV repair place to replace the switch with a generic switch. $25. I now have it as a spare.

TV repair guy said just use the remote and not the on off switch. The switch is a tiny flimsy thing. It's tiny only about 4mm by 4mm

You may have the same problem and an aircon service place will have to diagnose the problem if it's the circuit board.

Hope it's something simple like a fuse though.

I hunted out the old circuit board so you can see what I am talking about.

It's basically a switch push on push off and an LED that is orange to show it has power and goes green when switched on. A receiver for the remote and four/five cable plugs. $206 so you can understand why people get teed of with the price of spares.WIN_20181230_19_00_13_Pro.jpg

Not sure if that looks the same as mine or not, it's a couple of months since I looked at it. Might be a different air-con from yours. Will have to do so this week. Thanks for going to the trouble of digging it out. Much appreciate your help.
