anyone had any experience with the above gennys ? I plan to do some free camping in the North of WA and want to be able to run my IBIS 3 air con. I have an 18 foot Jayco Star Craft outback. I think it will power it OK I'm more interested in the reliability of the genny
No experience with their Gennys but their water pumps and mowers are bulletproof so it would depend on who the manufacturer of the actual generator fitted to the Briggs & Stratton motor.

At about 25kg including fuel my Honda EU20i is hard enough to lug around and position in the 4WD, I hate to think of having to manhandle twice that weight.

I believe the engine will be reliable. B&S are one of, or the biggest manufacturer of small engines in the world. Unlike some foreign manufactures that have only recently started to copy other better brands.
Should I declare that I was once, years ago a B&S dealer and other brands as well.

PS I agree with what Mike says. People should be aware of the weight of all generators before they make any decision. After all 'we' are not as young as we were.

It has been reported many times that the Honda Eu22i runs a Ibis 3 quite well and that dealers are only too happy to give a demo, it's currently on special at $1695. I know which one I would buy.
hi
Always a difficult choice
Honda overpriced parts some not all
Kohler cheaper but way unreliable carby 500$ plus . You need a parts truck . Although Made in usa . Head office is in HONG KONG
Briggs in Australia Donot Give a sh.t . Yes I had 25,000 $ of there equipment. OZZY BRIGGS do what ever they like concerning warranty .
The vangards are Briggs premimum equipment . Donot use Intek or any of the other lower spec units.
I import vangard parts ozzy $250 per piston IN USA 40$
Having more solar will not help you run the Aircon, you would need around 500+ Ah of battery as well to run it for a long enough period. So if your willing to upgrade your system depending on weight and $ or put a new lithium system in a more expense, then a generator for those times looks good value.
Beware the cheaper generators are often overrated in Kva and or need to run at much higher revs to achieve any outcome, never mind spare parts.
The Honda 2.2 is the best and smallest that will run your Aircon.
