Ok this happened last year and just before Christmas, I had just served the hot water heater in my caravan and had replaced the anode at the same time, we do not use our caravan and the last time it was out was at Easter, hoped to take it away for the Christmas holidays. When replacing the anode i also like to flush out the tank to remove the build up of white pebble like rubbish that comes from the old anode.
Anyway found out that i had little or no water pressure from the hot tap in both the bathroom or the kitchen sink. The cold water side of things was OK. After a bit of head scratching. i tracked the problem down to the mixing valve that was under the caravan was blocked ( this valve mixes hot and cold water so as one can not scold on's self from hot water that is two hot.
On removing the mixer valve and inspecting, i found that this valve has a little filter on the hot water inlet. This was blocked and not allowing the hot water through. Cleaning the filter with compressed air and reinstalling made all the difference and now the hot water is back.
Good to see you fix it Valliant. That is the usual place the hot water is restricted. I removed the unit in our van as we both like HOT showers and HOT water to do the dishes. I don't like bureaucracy telling me how to run my personal life.
Even though I regularly clean my water heater of the white calcium build up and flush it after several trips replacing the anode yearly my tempering valve blocked up several times so I just removed it. Nice hot showers now.
