I recently spent a night at the Cunderdin Caravan Park in a Solo Donga room similar to a motel with airconditioning, fridge, TV, jug Microwave and Ensuite. All very clean and comfortable.
These are near new with king size beds and shady verandah with chairs, table etc. Great new camp kitchen for use also.
The new owners have done a tremendous job with the park, removing the old ablution block and installing a new one with laundry etc.
The owner Manager Brenda is very friendly and helpful.
The king size bed was so comfortable it was better than the one I had at home, lol.
Dogs on a lead are allowed for caravans and tents etc, but not inside the cabin/donga accommodation.
Cunderdin is on the Great Easter Highway between Meckering and Kelleberrin in WA also home to the WA Ettamogah Pub.
Highly recommended and reasonable prices $90 a night for the donga's.
Hi veevil.Stayed at caravan park about 10 years ago.Looks like it has been done up.
Only problem was the trains passing during the night. Apart from that OK. take care Roker
Hi Roker, same here, the old park was a dump. The new owners have pulled most of the old stuff down and replaced it with new amenities etc, they have only had it for 9 months. The odd train does come by, but to be honest I only heard one during the night, because of the crossing they have to blow their whistle in that area. At least they are away from the main road so you don't get the truck noises on the highway.
Best value of Solo Donga's was at the Discovery Park at Boulder, WA. Cost $68 per night, need to book ahead though. Not much to look at from the outside, but inside fully renovated with modern fittings, toilet/shower, fridge, double bed, TV, jug etc.
