Kia Sorento platinum as a tow car

Hi everyone I have a good mate looking at a Kia Sorento platinum 4x4 to tow his caravan with,

caravan tare on weigh bridge is 1750 kg ,

Sorento is a 2000 kg tow capacity,

 it seems to have a very low tow bar down weight of only 80kg though ,

havent yet been able to discover the cars max gross weight though 

has anyone got one of these and how do you like it .

 A van with a dry weight of 1750 will be over the 2,000 kg capacity of the Sorento when loaded. There is very little wriggle room for load in the van. This is too close to the tugs capacity for my liking. Tell him to look for a lighter van or a tug with a higher capacity.
