A few months ago I had an ongoing rant about my back ache.
Doctors give you pills. Physios push and pull you about. The pain has spread to a stage where I can no longer walk sleep sit or stand without pain.\
Doctor has me on Panadol Osti. Up to eight a day, plus LYPRALIN. Three a day.
There is something seriously with my chassis. OK, so I'm getting older. All these problems started soon after an expensive operation on my back in 2017.
I am seriously considering taking a long walk on a short wharf.
G'day Pipes I'm sorry to hear of your plight, I have had serious pain issues for the last 20 years, lower back, neck rhuematoid arthritis. The best help I had was from a Pain Specialist and a Neurologist ( not a Neurosurgeon). So if your only seeing a GP you need to ask to see the other two, as for the Lypralin it doesn't work on everyone it's a bit hit and miss it's mainly used for epileptic seizures and has been used for nerve pain.
Your Dr. has you on a very high dose of Panadol Osteo the most you are normally allowed to take is 6 daily not 8 to much paracetamol can harm the liver and kidneys. Again see a bonafide Pain Specialist he will put you on medication that works for you. If your Dr. wont give you a referral to a Pain Specialist change Doctors.
Good luck Pipes if you wish to ask any questions go to User Details and send a Private Message.
The earliest I can see a pain specialist is November, 2019 !!??
That will make it two and a half years with extreme pain.
Saw the doctor yesterday, and I actually started crying with the pain. (Wot a wooz)
Does anyone know where I can buy some of THAT tobacco that dulls the pain!?
Seems that it is used by lots of locals inAlbany, but where to get some.
Pipes.

Pipes,my wife has Chronic Back pain, tried everywhere,a back specialist said even an operation wouldn't help.
They finally sent her to a pain management clinic who prescribed "Palexia-Tapentadol " it is an opiate and you have to see the doctor every month to get approval from Canberra.
If we want to get away longer for a trip, you can get the doctor to arrange 3 months medication in advance, a section 24.
It has been a great help, even though she still needs a walker to help her get around, but no pain now for the last 3 years.
Worth a try.
