For all those who like a flutter and a day at the races I hear theres room for us grey nomads at Balaklava (SA) racecourse for a few days around September 11, when the local racing club holds its massive Cup day. Theres power and water available right alongside the track. Yep, got that info straight from the horses mouth! Balaklava is about an hour north of Adelaide and same time (or a bit less) to Clare and Barossa Valleys and Yorke peninsula. The Flinders ranges are about three hours north. It has a nice golf club too! Been to the Cup many times - its a massive, fun day and this year we can park the vans very close to where all the action is. Google Balaklava Racing Club.
