Truma b14 boiler

Hi I was wondering if anybody knows what I need to look for when my hot water tap runs out of water after 5-10 seconds. The cold water will flow continuously. But when I switch the mixer to hot , it stops almost immediately. Any help greatly appreciated please.

Chucker.

Hi Chucker. I had a similar hot water problem with a Truma a few weeks back. If you have a look in the Techies section you will see the saga. Included in the replies is a copy of the Truma manual supplied by Santa. First thing to do is switch it off at power point connection, leave it off for ten minutes and then turn it on again. God luck, let us know how it goes. Don't rush in to having element replaced.

It could be your tempering valve it would be under the van and has cold on one side and hot on the other then the outlet . There are filters on the hot and cold the hot could be blocked from the disintegrating anode . Check and see if it is clean. Otherwise I would start at the tap and work your way back undoing hot pipes to see where it is blocked...dont burn yourself.... cheers bob

I have just been turning on and running water through the taps in kitchen and shower , changing the mixer from hot to cold a few times. Then I turned the outside flush tap and flushed water. Turned the heater to 60 deg.for 10 mins. , upped to 70 deg. AAAND and guess what,  Voila .......Hot Water. I couldn't believe my luck. And LUCK it only was. I'm now going inside to have a Drink to Celebrate with. Should take Lotto Ticket too. Nah don't push it.
Thanks a Guys. Chucker. Hot Water again.

Glad it all worked out for you Chucker. I think those things have a mind of their own. I know my one almost put me into therapy before the old switch on/off/back on routine performed by the sparkie.
