Gas stopped igniting a few days ago. The red light on the switch stopped working and no ignition. Swift sent us a new ignition unit. No luck.
Put the meter on the circuit on the igniter 12 ok. No 12v to ignition module though. Sparky suggested I run wire from the switch to the ignition module. 12v so the internal wire not getting any.
Further, the 240v element has never worked and assumed it had been burned out by the dealer running it with no water to test it. Sparky tested and said nothing wrong with it. However, it trips the circuit breaker when I turn it on.
My feeling is that the entire heater unit is stuffed?
Also, as a side issue, the hot plate on the stove also blows the circuit breaker, since new.

Our swift HWS has been problematic from new when run on gas. New circut board seems to have fixed it.
Gas cook top not assembled correctly and would not light. Used matches on one for 2 years untill i finally sorted it.
Gotta say, 12 month warrenty is a joke. Should be more like 5 years.
Companies these days seem to consistantly fail regarding quality of build.

Find a good sparky who does find out why the circuit breaker OR is it the RCD? is tripping
The circuit breaker trips from overload .
An rcd trip due to an earth fault/ not to be ignored
