Air con issue

Hi Im hoping someone can help. We are having issues with The Truma Aventa MK11 air con system in our Jayco Journey pop-top. It is working intermittently, sometimes for a few minutes, sometimes for over an hour and sometimes it doesnt come on at all. The caravan repair place said its likely to be the PCB board and wanted $1000 to replace so we replaced it ourselves but it hasnt fixed the issue. When it switches off the red light is flashing and when its re-set sometimes it works straight away and sometimes it has to be left off for a while. Anyone have any suggestions as to what it can be and/or a mobile repair person in Perth? Thanks

Hi Por,
Welcome to the forum, I trust that someone will come up with a solution for you.

There is another section called "Recommendations" where you may find someone/a business near you. Also do a "Search" - looking at more recent queries.

Could you tell the forum under what conditions this is happening? Eg - what the temperature is both in & out when this is occurring? Is the van under any sort of a warranty?

Hi Por and welcome from me.
I had the same thing and the guy that came to fix it replaced the PCB board and then found it was the temperature sensor.
This sensor attaches to the PCB board and is easily traced and replaced.
My unit now works fine and for what it is worth I think your repairer is a burglar if he wants that kind of money.

Cheers
Ivan

Thanks for your responses . Interestingly I just spoke to someone who suggested that the sensors may be the issue.
