Does anyone level there motorhome in parks and if so do you have auto leveling connected or chocks, I am a first time motorhome owner and we have a Avida Esperance 7.95 mtrs long thanks
Hi Ray, we use a 4 level ramp set. Generally we try for level or a little down on the front. Our bed is north /south so ensures our feet are lower than our heads. Seems to be an agreeable position for both of us to achieve a good nights sleep. Two plastic ramps are considerably less weight than an auto system and considerably less expensive.
Good quality plastic ramps (2) are all you will ever need - the extra weight of self levelling systems seriously reduces payload. Being an Avida it is most probably fitted with a Dometic three way fridge that has to be reasonably level to operate. Several pieces of 19mm thick form ply, to fit under tyres can be enough to adjust level if you learn how to judge level sites to camp on. Having a small three way level on dash helps see www.snowys.com.au/caravan-two-way-t-level

We've had hydraulic, air and blocks. We now have blocks and if it feels near enough then it's near enough. 3 way fridge may be an issue but we have all electric so not an issue.
Agree with peter n Margret close enough is good enough , with a slight preference of heads higher than feet , but so long as we arent rolling to one side its ok .

I prefer to have the drivers side and front down a little. Helps with drainage of shower. Otherwise I don't care. I have a 12v fridge so level is not an issue. More important is sun. I Like the morning sun on the passenger side or on the front or back, with the afternoon sun on the drivers side, front or back. Once again it comes down to the fridge which is on the passenger side.
