I feel for you as my husband drove trucks and worked in our own business for most of his working life.
He had a very similar problem when he was in his late 30s and doctors could not find the problem. He visited several chiropractors without any relief and then out of the blue one of them had noticed he carried his wallet in his right hand back pocket and as a last resort he suggested that Rob remove his wallet when he was driving or even sitting.
Dont laugh or make comments about fat wallets :) but just by doing this it fixed his problem. To this day he does not put his wallet in any back pocket.
Unfortunately before this simple remedy we had replaced the seat in his truck without any improvement.
I hope you get to the bottom of your problem :)
Regards
Angie

worked for me. long time now carry wallet in front pocket
Is my problem. I get similar symptoms you have described plus I have to get up in the middle of the night and walk around to get rid of the pain.
and yes I feel it all the way down to the ankles.
Had a cortisone injection which helped a little but it all came back so now treat it as another fact of an aged life.
Neither of us can sit as long as we once could. We just stop more offen, get out have a walk, even if it around the car 3 times. 2 hours across Sydney is too much & we are desperate to move a bit.

Docs took forever to work out what it was.

I had bursitis in the shoulder, took years to get rid of it. That one the doc could see it in the Xray.
Also in summer, it seems not to hurt as fast.
Anyway Its a starting point for my next visit to the doc.
Have had the problem twice, latest was in early 2017, pain in left leg, gradually got worse to almost unbearable. To GP arranged an MRI same problem as on right leg 19 years earlier, SPINAL STENOSIS, narrowing of the Spinal Canal where the wiring harness passes through, (Spinal Cord), vertebrae pressing on a nerve.
Went to Spinal Specialist in Brisbane, (Bris Brain & Spine), who had done other side, 3 ½ hours surgery and like new again after a couple of months. Have more flexibility now than for years.
Removed offending piece of Vertebrae, fused 2 vertebrae, inserted 6 screws and plastic cage around it all. Previous occasion was on left leg 19 years earlier and he only needed to trim vertebrae on that occasion.

Mixo
I had the shoulder one too. Bloody painful that was. and same here in summer its so much better.
Hi Mixo,
I have the same problem also, I drove trucks for many years in my 30's & 40's and one of the trucks had a draft coming in under the drivers door and now my right leg is always in slight pain and when driving I also have to stop at least every 2 hours and walk around, I don't mind as it gives me a chance to check everything and usually have a coffee.
When we had caravans I had a Nissan Patrol tow vehicle and the accelerator position made my foot tilt back and this made the problem a lot worse, I put a small block of wood under my heel and this made a big difference, I first worked my way up from 10mm, 15mm and found that 20mm was best.
Hope this is of some help.
Cheers

Sounds like a R.S.I--similiar to my driving right arm shoulder pains.I rested it for 3months,using left arm 90%more for anything..It worked..maybe you sitting in same position too much for too long..swim pools good for soreness +muscle looseners. Also a pillow elevating, lifting your body higher, will change your body weights +alleviate leg areas.

I too have had frozen shoulder with bursitis and it lasted 18 months to get my hand above shoulder height, let alone get any strength in it to cary a shopping bag.
I had this up until about 2 years ago. What helped me was losing 20 plus kilos...and it virtually stopped (I was a large lad hey ). Now the only time I get a little twinge is on the bike after a cuppla hours...so I just slow up a bit and stand on the pegs for a half k or so...and its good again..easy to do on a big chookie.
Cheers Keith
