Ive made myself a copy of a Rock Tamer, obviously not as pretty as the real deal, and have it fitted to my 200 series Landcruiser. Ive cut a hole opposite my downwards facing exhaust pipe and have the mudflap angled at approx 30 degrees. When pulling our 22.5ft van the exhaust soot is blowing back onto the rear bumper leaving black soot residue. Has anyone else experienced this and how can it be fixed?

Hmm not sure why you put this in the solar power ??
However I would ask if you have had the engine rechipped or modified in some way. I would not think a 200 should produce noticeable carbon deposits behind. They are unburnt fuel you payed for and are bad for the health.
Dont know why I put in solar either. Ill move it over. In answer to your question, the engine is stock standard, apart from a Catch Can I installed 2 months ago.
