Hi and Welcome to the GN forum.

You should try the search function. I am sure there is a set of instructions previously published to help you with that type of sat finder.

Welcome to the gang Ken, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I no nothing about sat systems but KFC does. He is right about checking the search function too. You find it just above here in the thick blue line. Heaps if info down in the dungeon. KFC tried to have me put down there once but I was in the naughty room and he couldn't get at me.

Keep Safe out there.

Hi Ken. You will be able to get a signal in that area of Australia but it is a bit of a "blind spot" for the satelitte for some reason. Persevere and be patient.

Hi Ken, the single biggest issue in getting a good Sat signal is the Dish size 80cm is borderline up there, 90cm makes a world of difference. What size is your dish.

Hi sparkskenny

Welcome to the forum

I am not a techie, and learned just a little, about satellite from this forum

I can confirm that my satking, which looks like the one which JeffRae has put a link to, does work in the Karratha area

I ask one question, did it work in the past, or have you purchased a second hand unit?

The reason I ask, is that a few years ago, I came across a bloke in a free camp, about halfway between Karratha and Broome.
My sat TV was working, and his was not, his satking picked up nothing from the dish, while mine did
We got his TV working using my satking to align his dish
He had purchased a second hand unit, and this was the first time he had tried it out, his satking may have been damaged

I ask the question, have you been pushing buttons?

The reason I ask, is that I once came across another traveller, in a free camp on the Nullarbor. His satking picked up nothing as he had somehow, been pressing buttons
My satking picked up the satellite, with the satellite now aligned, we put his satking back on, when I pushed the info button, everything was there for him

Hope that this info is useful to you

If you let us all know, how you fixed the problem, it may help others in the future
