I have arthritis in 1 joint of a finger......bloody painful.
I eat 3 leaves a day (Centella asiatica is also known as pennywort or the arthritis herb and many people have relieved their arthritis by eating 2 -3 leaves a day.)
I have osteoarthritis in my wrist. It doesn't hurt all the time. Sometimes it's sore, sometimes it's not. Sometimes I rub a bit of cream on it if it is bothering me, but I've not tried anything else. It'll stop bothering me by itself if I just ignore it.
I suggested gout because I have one joint on one finger that just about cripples the whole hand at times so I called into a chemist to see if she had any newly-disscovered potions that weren't snake oil.
She noted that the joint wasn't the slightest bit swollen and suggested gout as a possibility unless I had already been given a firm arthritis diagnosis.
Sigh! Looks like the reds need to go.
Or just put up with it
Gotu Kola is thought to increase testosterone levels because men who take it seem to have lower occurrences of erectile dysfunction and they grow muscle faster. One explanation could be that this herb helps to dilate blood vessels and increase blood circulation to the lower parts of the body.

Hi Bilbo,
I have Arthritis in my hands but not much pain, but I do have a lot of pain in my left elbow and wouldn't mind giving the herbs a go, can I ask, where do you buy them and how do you buy them, can I buy them on-line and are they dried or fresh green leaves or is it a plant that you plant in your garden and just pick the leaves?
Regards
Steel Dog
Went to my Gp today and asked "is gout a form of arthritis?" She said "yes".......that will do me.
Steel dog.......ask any nursery "do you have the arthritis plant??.....take the plant home and grow (in a pot is fine)...it grows like a weed......keep watered.......pick the leaves and eat. I woundn't eat a lot to begin with......maybe one/two leaves a day.
Gout arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis are totally different conditions with different sets of symptoms diagnosis and treatments. Gout diagnosis is much simpler and often just needs a blood test. Treatment can be as simple as lifestyle and dietary changes. It really is in your best interests to know just which afflicts you.
