Tasmania - A quick look

It's been a few years since I visited Tassie.  Way too long.  Before I first visited I asked a travel agent about the place.  She told me a week there and you've seen it all. Bad, very bad advice, particularly from a so called professional.  I've visited Tassie twice now and for a total of two months and there are so many parts I havn't seen.  Tassie is a photographers paradise.  A bushwalker's delight. A fisherman's smorgasbord and so full of history, it is a beautiful and fascinating place.  From the rocky mountains and luscious rainforests, to the beautiful lakes and rivers.  It is amazing.  Here are some of my photos to introduce the place. Hope you enjoy it.

I did the island on a motorcycle a few years ago, but only for a week.

It was more about the ride, than the scenery.

I will be retiring and hitting the road for good in around 18 months time, and after picking up a new van and prime mover in Victoria, my first trip will be tassie.

I have been told that anything up 12 months is needed toi see it properly, and i am certainly planning on seeing it all.

I will have a caravan, being pulled by aN iveco van, which will hold a big BMW motorbike, so i will be able to get to all corners of the island.

Loved it last time, and i am looking forward to doing it again.

Enjoy retirement, 12 months in Tassie to me would be perfect, beware of winter. Cheers.
