Just travelled this road, 45 km and for 40km this is a new road, wide and very good, till you hit the Qld border and for the final 5 km it is a gravel road albeit smooth, cant Qqld find the money for 5km!!!

None of their locals use it.

That will make a good round trip for lunch at Hebel if you are staying at Lightning Ridge for a few nights.

Recommend the hot bore pools at Goodooga, road Goodooga back to Lightning Ridge ok but bumpy narrow and about 50 cattle grids
