Northern Territory.

Just discovered a very informative site for Northern Territory holiday planning tnt_drive_brochure_may2021.pdf (northernterritory.com) If you're considering going anywhere in NT this site is so inclusive.

We have recently come up from Queensland to the NT via the Ranken Road stock route and the Barkly Stock Route.
Dusty, but otherwise excellent roads with very little traffic.
3 short video clips (1 minute each).

Cheers,
Peter

Hi  Peter and Margaret

We plan to do both in July. Don't see any free camping sites along the way. Did you find any?

Also plan to do Buchanan Highway........did you do it?

Regards

Richard

What Peter D said. smile

We did spend one night in the banks of the Buchanan Creek, south of Alexandria. There was some water and birds there.

We have driven the Buchanan Highway a couple of times previously, but not this trip. The only camp sites that come to mind are in Jasper Gorge near the west end and in Gregory NP.

Cheers,

Peter

Correction.

We also spent a night on the edge of a large "scrape" off the southern side of the Barkly Stock Route at S18.0036, E134.5312.

The night after that was on the WW2 Gorrie airfield, just north of Larrimah.
