Hi ,pump needs to be isolated if fixed to chassis as much as poss . I used the rubber hangers similar to what the exhaust guys use to hang mufflers with . Thats prob the best you can do .Can`t hear it inside the c/van as the diesel heater makes a mind blowing amount of noise anyway ,compared with a previous gas heater we had . Cheers .

Mine certainly does not make a "mind blowing amount of noise". On startup, the speed ramps up and it does get pretty noisy, mainly outside. But inside, after 2-3 minutes it is much quieter than a fan heater. I also have a second muffler ready to push on if I am worried about annoying the neighbours. That makes quite a difference.

It pumps out so much heat I can't imagine I would ever want to run it on high for very long.

As for the ticking pump, I have wrapped mine in sound insulation material (Jaycar), and mounted it with cable ties holding it against a piece of cushion foam. Mounted in the front boot it is audible inside, but not a nuisance. The next step is to feed the pressure side fuel line inside some soft rubber tubing so it can't drum on the body.

Soft mount (even suspend ) the pump and put a loop in both inlet and outlet fuel lines before attaching to the pump to let the pump move a little instead of sending the vibration "down the line" . I have 2 diesel heaters (1 in Slide on and  1 in Van )  and apart from fan and pump noise for a minute or so on start up run quietly once up to temp. and settle down.
