There are a few fixes. One is to use bigger screws.
The other is to drill new holes either side of the existing ones (be careful to only drill the aluminium and not the under structure.) Then use additional screws to secure the two pieces. This is the way I would go. It looks like there was not enough screws for the job in the first place. Double the number in fresh material may be a bit more successful.
Is there something below the rubber you can screw into? If so, use longer screws. If that means you will have the points of the screws exposed in a position where you will get spiked, use machine screws with nuts and washers

Blues Man,
Are all of the screws falling out? There's no way of getting something behind the rubber to screw into, I guess. Or do the screws have to come out at some time? If not, could you add contact glue to the threads??

If you don't get it done today, there's always tomorrow!
Can you post more pictures, what is it, what does it do ?
Thanks iana ,the thing i'm trying to fix is the skirt (10mm high density rubber)which goes wright around the bed ,to make it look pretty when bed is down
One photo is with the mattress on and the other is with mattress off.
The bed lifts up to expose a storage area under the bed and the skirt covers the area between the bed and storage area

Thank you Warren ,there is no need for the screws to ever come out because the skirt is a permanent feature
I am thinking maybe i should drill all the way through the skirt and fix it with a small nut and bolt type fixing ,which has a nice domed stud on the outside
Still doesn't make sense to me, I think one of those pictures is 180 degrees about. What about a couple of pictures further out showing what it does. Like does the mattress lift up, and that is a storage space underneath.
Patrick, is this what you have? - Avida Esperance. The trim below the mattress looks to a chromed metal extrusion in that shot. Securing your rubber piece there with bolts (hex head) would look a little ugly. That's why I suggested a machine screw above. Select one with a nice pan head like the original screws and use acorn nuts to secure it.

Thanks PeterD,that looks very similar to our M/H. I do like the idea of using acorn nuts ,thanks for that suggestion ,i never thought of that
Looks like the photo of that Avida in your post does not have the rubber surround like ours has, like i said the rubber surround is just to make it pretty.
Now that i know what i have to get i will search google to see which one will suit best.
