Optitec Caravan Mover Problem

Cant seem to find a solution to my Optitec 12 volt Van Mover that stops and starts every 6 inches or so making it almost useless and frustrating. It mostly  seems to do it in one direction only, that being going forward. I was wondering if anybody else has had the same problem ? Its only being used on a 5 metre runabout boat and my Jayco Freedom Van, both well under the maximum weight for the Optitec. Only used on hard, dead flat, and dry driveway surface for no more than 8 metres travel. Thanks welcome for any help

Hi Phlipper,

Sounds like possibly an electrical connection fault.
Why dont you give the supplier a call. They are sponsors on here.
There may be a known common fault and fix for it.

Good luck

This sounds like an electrical problem - maybe there is a thermal cutout in the electric motor? DO you have the handbrake on the van still applied, thus overloading the motor?

Did you manage to get onto Gary at Optitec ?

Was he able to resolve your problem with the remote ?
