Nappy san as opposed to recommended Thetford products

Hi fellow grey nomads, I have  received replies as to the swollen cassettes and using valves, would like to know if others using nappy san or equivalent are experiencing problems. I was categorically told by Thetford that that was the cause of problems, but could not explain why it has only happened in the silverline and not the sterling cassettes and that they had never heard of a cassette swelling. Obviously we will only be using Thetford products from now on as they now have the one with eucalyptus, but it wont fix the cassette, we will have to replace it if it comes to that we cant get it in or out.

Cheers

Have used sodioum percarbonate (the active ingredient of Nappy San) for 17 years. No pressure build up, no seal deterioration or any of the other things reported from time to time.
Cheers,
Peter

I'm no expert but using it for urine only would cause smells=gas and adding Sodium Percarbonate & or Kem Clean may make things worst? It has been mentioned recently that you should use the toilet for both purposes as it works better & no lingering urine stench.
