Sealing roof on top


Recommendations on best silicone/sika to use on caravan roof please ? Will be cutting hole to insert Dometic DRS and want to seal properly. Thanks

My preferred material is "Bostik seal and Flex" see Seal 'N' Flex® 1 | Polyurethane Sealants | Bostik It is used by quality caravan manufacturers/repairers, as it will allow cyclic flexing when cured. Not the cheapest "Caulk" just the best.

 Yep, that's the one recommended to me by the Caravan Repairer at Cabolture Qld.  It did an excellent job on my van roof and still good after >2 years.

Then if you want ? Use a top quality paint to protect from
UV and seal even better .

Ended up going with the Bostik seal and flex - did a great job. Have had some heavy rain since and dry as a ........................well you know the rest ! cheers

Great !! The main part is being pro active is fixing these things ! No point running into van repair on every little issue !!
