Bamboo Creek rd Pilbara WA

we are heading form Perth to Kakadu in May. going via Newman, Nullagine, Meentheena and Marble Bar, and interested in going up the Bamboo Creek, Warrawagine and Muccan Shay Gap rds.

it goes via Shay Gap and comes out onto the Great Northern hwy between Pardoo and Sandfire.

there are a couple of creeks to cross but images I've found it looks like an ok road.

We'll be towing an All Terrain Caravan.

has anybody done this road lately

I haven't done it for quite a few years, but it was quite stoney and you could do in tyres if you traveled too fast and didn't adjust your tyre pressure .

thanks, always travel to the conditions and lower pressures for dirt roads for sure.

so we did it, no problems actually it was one of the better dirt roads we did.
BTW a great campsite by the De Grey river, comes out as the Boreline rd between Sandfire and Pardu.
