Just needing some information if possible. Our van is losing 240v power only on the lights. The power points are still working, the tv is working but not the aerial, the range hood and the fridge are not working. The fridge did go under water during the floods however it has been working fine since then, up until this problem. does anyone have any idea how we can pinpoint the fault. The throw out switch in the van doesn't trip either, we just lose those things mentioned previously?? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Get yourself an licensed sparky familiar with AS3001 and leave the power off until it is sorted.
Otherwise the van could burn to the ground, or worse.
Cheers,
Peter
Most vans use 12v DC from battery for lights. Range hood is probably also 12v. Fridge needs 12v supply to ignite gas. Antenna needs 12v for signal booster.
Does anything work on 12v?
My guess would be that either the battery is dead flat, there is a supply fuse blown or a "master switch" is turned off.
Check the battery charger and battery first.
Try disconnecting things from
Power . Like the range hood, fridge which can get moisture, condensation and trip
RCD / safety switch . Is it the breaker or safety switch ?
