It seems our civilisation has reached a point where we have extended human lifespan beyond its previous norm, via improved medical techniques for our bodies. Though it appears there is now the work needs to catch up, so to speak, with how to keep the mind going in the aged, but still moving, bodies.

 Yes. Extending one's life via advanced medical processes is no use if one can't have a quality of life.
