I need to replace the 240 heating element in our Truma B14 but the unit is jammed into the bottom of the wardrobe. I will have to remove the unit completely and was wondering if anyone knows how they are bolted inthis is seriously difficult to get to. I will remove panels etc but dont know how the unit is secured.

Hi Bas. Quick chat with Mr Google shows that unit is bolted to floor through 3 brackets spaced around perimeter. Good luck. Cheers
Thanks mate. The element is mid to high $300s, New replacement heater @ $900. Our old girl has served us faithfully for 12 yrs so I will prob replace it. Has to be ticked off by a gas fitter and 240v sparkle so will have a repair shop do the swap out. Funny thing is I was wondering the other week when it would go.
Thanks again

I welded extensions ( approx. 150mm ) on to the 3 screws .... lets me see them to undo them . Also added "plug and socket" to the wiring (simplifies disconnection) Got rid of the card board "insulation" . Made bottom of wardrobe removable to aid access . Now all good . Element price is a rip off due to "kink" in its shape - normal household straight one is only quarter to a third of the price.
