Hi everyone, the slide out on my RV has finally died, the motor is OK buy it has snapped the plastic nuts that travels on the large screws that retract and open the slideout. Im after the plastic threaded part that brings the slideout in/out in conjunction with the screw mechanism does anyone know a parts supplier for this particular parts; please see attached picture.
Also has anyone a picture of the nut in situ as I'm unsure where it is attached, or does it run free and lock in when at the end of its travel?
After my experience with AVIDA, I wouldn't recommend anyone associated with the Company - Although I did have some success with their Dealer in Geraldton WA www.rvcentrewa.com.au/avida-range/

When you find a new plastic nut (pinion?) consider asking a machine shop to make a copy from an appropriate metal indeed, as they'll CNC it, get two copies.
I cannot believe Winnebago chose to mould such a highly stressed part from plastic - a built in failure mode!
Edit: One you have the metal part made return the plastic part for a refund - they deserve it.

He would still need a new part in order to do a full and accurate 3D drawing of what he wishes to print and if a professionally moulded part cannot handle the work I doubt a 3D printed part will have much of a chance.
Do it in metal.

Most Machine Shops should be able to copy the old nut if they are able to see and measure the screw (acme thread by the look of it) . Probably turn it out of some Brass Stock .....last forever then if lubricated occasionally. KB
As for how to do it ,,,,,,, Access to the Shafts was by cutting the floor as you have done in your pics. I removed both the Acme Screw Shafts, which took a few Hail Marys, 1 skinned knuckle, and the dear wife having to vacate the area.
Remove the split pins at the collar on the reduction boxes ( the outer edge of the slide out) and the shafts can be taken out through the bottom
the Worm Drive Holder is located onto 2 small shafts about 1/2 the length of the Screw , close to the middle.
the timing of the 2 shafts isnt hard , just screw the Blocks onto the shafts until they are located on the pins and locate the split pin holes in the collar, measure each side of the slide out to the body. (i found the slide out can be pulled out quite easily when the Screw Shafts are disconnected)
I hope this makes some sense for you.
If you want a pic of the Worm Drive Holder let me know.
