Parking nearby Spirit of Tasmania Geelong

Hi All  w00t.gif this is my first time posting and i'm sure this has been asked a gazillion times already, but here we go again...

Someone had posted that there was parking at a place called Beacon Cove, near or under the West Gate Bridge, I think

the post was dated May '22.  Sooooooooo, if anyone knows if this is still available to camp up for a night (we have a caravan) prior to

boarding the Spirit of Tasmania, I would be very happy to hear from you xd.gif

Safe travels to you all

Jewelee

Welcome to GN's Jewelee, cannot advise of parking restrictions but all free camping around ferry terminal is a highly sought-after prize that cannot be guaranteed for a particular date. Always have a Plan B to avoid disappointment.

I'm not familiar with the location you mention but, frankly, I would not camp under the Westgate bridge simply for reasons of personal safety and I'm no wimp about such things.

I have a spot which I don't wish to broadcast to the world but will PM to you, nudge me if I forget.

At the last terminal, we just parked in nearby streets without problems, or used free camps up to an hours drive out. Same plan would apply at the new terminal. Certainly wouldn't be paying for it.

I'm obviously missing something, but why would you seek an overnight spot in Melbourne when the ferry now leaves from Geelong.
