I have just fixed a solo lady traveller's door latch on her Jayco poptop where the "tongue" had snapped off _ reckon poor design, but maybe so designed so that if anyone tries to lever open the door the tongue will break and prevent further damage. But while waiting for spare parts the "van is insecure
Once I saw inside it I knew what to do and done in 15 minutes.
Materials
2 pins cut from pop rivets
Rapid Fix glue
Tools
drill bit to suit diameter of pop rivet
The photos should explain the process.
Should be nice and strong now
Good old Kiwi ingenuity, but could have used #10 fencing wire I guess. And in case you ask - #8 too large.
